im back!!

had a fun-filled activities March =)

after the relaxing kite flying session, meet up with marketing bunch for dinner at Manpuku on the 9th.. dinner was simple and we share lots of gossips!=) then we had dessert at Secret Recipe..

Thursday was Mary's birthday celebration! had dinner at Fish & Co with the TPMU guys and there was so much laughter. everyone is so addicted to teck's camera. esp jon & yc! thats why we end up snapping 300+ pictures for the night.

after dinner went to Timbre Substation to chill. drink & eat & chat & listen to the live band.. the Good Fellas are really good! they sing korean and canto songs too.. im so impressed lolx.. then we snap snap lots of photos again! drank so much till mary was half drunk by the time it was 12am hahaa.. left the place at 1am. dead tired~~~ had to wake up in few hours time to work again =( happy birthday mary!

and Friday after work, ru & i went to watch Alice in Wonderful 3D!!! my first time watching 3D. ITS FANTASTIC!!! i keep grabbing ru whenever there is a falling scene and exclaim "eek! so high!!" hahhaa~ i love the 3D! so real!!

Saturday we had our belated 3rd year anniversary celebration =) piggy bot me flowers!! so happy =) had a simple day at Vivo, eat and shop~ Dian Xiao Er is good, so is the dessert! and of cuz the company =) went home to watch the movie Hachiko, the story about the very loyal dog. make me cry so much lolx.. its a nice simple day and i really enjoyed it =) thank you.. love u piggy!

i hope things always remain like this..

went back to old office today to help out after work and heard abt some commotion that happened in the morning. apparently the editor came down to make a big fuss about the backlog and accuse Sukh & me of being incompetent.

by right it shud be none of my business since im no longer his staff. but the only suay thing is my current boss is one of the member of his editorial committee and if that petty man go tell tales to her, im finished.

seriously, OW conveniently push all the blame to me now. i admit im oso in the wrong. there is really alot of backlog stuff which is stucked there since last December. but does anyone knows the kinda situation im in? OW & Sukh are forever busy with new books and stuff. there is only the 2 of them and that ambitious OW keep gg around promising pple to publish books for them. Sukh work like bull there is not enough manpower at all! and if that damn journal is that impt, why just dump the whole thing to me alone?

i have been struggling to clear them but my job scope is not only limited to that alone. i got so much other stuff to overlook as well. when i need help, i got no one to turn to. and in the first place, editorial is not my area! i have been trying to highlight that time and again and what did i get? screamings and scoldings and whatsnot.

and why is he blaming on Sukh?? that idiot. she is innocent! she haven even touch the journal at all.. how could he accuse her of being incompetent??!!!

now OW wants Sukh to tell me this and told her to make me feel bad and guilty that what i've done is getting them into trouble and tarnishing their reputation.

so what u want me to do now? go jump off the building from sgh tomorrow to show my guilt and remorse???!!!!!

its the start of March.

used to be one of my favourite months.

had started out in my new job. i miss the noise and everything. even though its just a street away, everything is so different now. i cant talk in my office. i had been whispering everyday bcuz im so afraid to break the dead silence in the air.. but i'll get used to it im sure. i mean i have to yahh?

its just that i feel like im finally myself again when i meet the crazy bunch for dinner at Akira Jap Buffet on Wednesday. we laughed so much, cho-ed so much, ate so much and drank so much (Dobin-mushi!!!) im finally allowed to talk comfortably and laugh loudly! omg, that feels like releasing a bird from the cage.

ytd was Simin's first day of work. aint i glad to have her! then its girl's nights out after work. watched the movie Dear John (Simin and Ru nearly fell asleep) & went for a drink after that at Harry's Bar.. nice Friday =)

and today i went kite flying with my groupmates! went to marina barrage and spend the whole afternoon there flying kite, sun tanning and picnic-ing.. its so great! its so relaxing! and im so grateful to Celin because she can really empathize with my work+ studies stress though she had never been thru it. thanks!! sometimes its really simple things that makes one happy. im so happy today =)

after a tough week, thats the kind of break im looking for.

i just wanna feel this happy everyday!

no disturbing thoughts running thru the mind, no work stress, no studies pressure, no worries.

TMA01 Question: How did you spent your last day of work today? Please indicate your answer in point form.

Answer:

1. had a mini farewell lunch with 5 "leftovers" people in the office because no one else is around.

2. did not give out any farewell gift to anybody because i got no time on hand to prepare and feeling so damn pai sehh about it when i tell people that its my last day but i got nothing for you.

3. was supposed to go for dinner with the rest of the crazy bunch at Holiday Inn but had so much damn bloody stuff to clear till i had to stay in the office till 9pm ALONE. my office is known to be haunted fyi. when im done, they are done with dinner too.

4. lug two big bags of my remaining kuching kurak stuff and crashed into a dinner at Marche because i thought i would faint halfway if i travel home to cook noodles.. but felt like so out of place there.......

in conclusion, my last day of work is lonely, busy and awkward..

things aint as bad as i thought it would be...

at least i have handed up all my assignments on time, had a fab time in BKK, just finish running my last workshop in PGMI today, plan to do my handover tomorrow and farewell the office on Friday!

well, at least there will be 3 pple left in the office for farewell lunch with me on Friday. the rest of them are all away running a conference =(

but i'll see them again very soon.

like Friday night for dinner. wahahahaha!

and then Wednesday night AGAIN.

Just like ru, i am also stretched to my max.

assignment deadlines are just one after another. i had only started school for 2 weeks and im only taking 2 modules this semester but somehow i had already handed up 4 assignments. There are 2 more due this week, and 2 more next week.

im panicking because i cant finish them!

im flying off on Friday morning and just before i fly off and 4 days that im away, im supposed to hand up 2 major assignments known as TMA (i prefer to call it TMD) and 1 online discussion. ITS CHINESE NEW YEAR!! cmon!! because of this i have to rush everything out by Thurs.

i had been desperately squeezing out whatever little time and concentration i have after work to try to work ahead of time. but the problem is work had already drained me. i might have dumped the letter but the work still goes on.

our new journal is launching in March and its already mid Feb now. its a major affair and there's so much preparation to do. my workshop is running in end of Feb. i haven got round to preparing anything for it as well. and i have to do a detailed handover list to whoever is taking over my position. i got so much things on hand i would need one month to do a handover.

i have been working like a bull everyday at work, fighting against time. im really tired.

feb is a crap month alright.

i cant finish my bloody work, i cant finish my bloody assignments, i cant enjoy myself during my bloody weekends, i cant do any bloody thing.

ARGH!!!!

i'll bite if anyone comes near me.

even thinking of BKK doesnt excite me now...

can someone do something to cheer me up?

i thought about alot of things today..

i thought of the chalet we had many many years ago with Holidays and the guys. the fun that we have, the noise that we made, the laughter that we shared...

i thought of 3 years ago we were at the same place. the breeze that blows our face, the sparkles that shone brightly, the words that he said to me, the promises that he made to me...

i thought of 3 months ago the TBLJ cum my birthday chalet that we had. the wonderful food, the company, the joy on our face, the bond that we had...

but now, everything seemed to had changed now.

Holidays no longer exist.
the marketing gang have no more outings.
i find it harder and harder to understand what he is thinking.
my office is half empty now and im moving on to a new place soon.

i know we are suppose to move on, and not always look back in life. i know. but its so hard to, especially when it all means so much to me.

hello people!

January is such a busy and eventful month that i din get to sit down and blog about the happenings.

it has been a month full of happy moments =)

we have lots of gatherings and laughters in the office. gatherings in the context of farewell party. and very soon, it will be my turn =) yup, i found a job! thank you ee sia for the recommendation. Mar, i will be joining Duke-NUS! funny thing is, its just like one street across from my current office.

and within this month, there is already 3 resignations from the department. another one is coming next week. in total, ever since that bimbo manager join the dept, there is a total of 7 resignations already. we are all very proud of this number, bcuz that is enough to reflect how bad the situation is now and how intolerable we are towards her (though i resign got nothing to do with her, its for studies). she is damn b*tch you know. she announced to the whole world in a meeting that she had decided to transfer me to Elaine's dept without consulting me in the first place. it so damn bloody rude lahz! im a human not an item! Ee sia says her middle finger nearly come out wahahahaa~ but i am really really gonna miss all the fun we have together. like everyone wearing the black hairband with big feathers sticking out and walking around the office to irritate the shit out of the bimbo manager. wahahaa~

one of the reasons for accepting this new job is bcuz they are also an educational institute and they support my studies! yahh, school had just started this week. its really tiring. Class starts on tues and thurs and by fri we are required to hand in assignments. very taxing! now my whole timetable is filled with nothing but assignment dates and workshop dates (which i can erase now liao). its really tiring. really tiring. thats my life for the next 3 years. JiaHui, jiayou!!!!!

and for piggy, school started again and now he is back to the routine of school school school school.. hahaaa.. really appreciate that no matter how busy his schedule is, he will make sure he at least spends a Saturday with me.. even if after a stress week and that Saturday i still black face with him the whole day, he will still try to make me happy. thank you piggy!

watched another movie with the girls this month! Jump. hahaha was pretty irritated as the beginning bcuz of those ch**na singing. and the dance part wasnt that much lahz.. sadded.. and they finally get to eat my cheesecake! hahahaha.. nice right? dun get addicted ok? hehehe~

its feb soon. CNY is coming. BKK is coming!! woolala~

hello hello~!

2010 had started quite well for me actually =) well, at least for the past 4 days lahz. like a dream. then today its back to reality cuz had to see OW for the first time this year. as usual, she scolds and blames and curse herself to drop dead tomorrow..... *yawn~~* getting kinda bored with all these. its a new year lehz! wonder if she can come up with anything new.. oh i forgot! there's a saying that goes - u cant teach an old dog new tricks. oops, my bad.

i did my countdown in Gentings this year!!! with piggy and family. its the first time i countdown in a foreign country. the sad part is we cant see the fireworks because its all blocked by the mist. so we only got sound effect, no visual impact. but then its really an odd experience to countdown at a human-packed-like-sardine place yet still feeling cold! oohh~ i love it!! love counting down with piggy =)

life in Gentings is all about eating, casino-ing, shopping and sleeping. relaxed life.. hahaha.. for the 2 nights, we went to mushroom farm for dinner. super good food and super reasonable price! i miss the flying butter fish! and we watched 2 movies there.. avatar is really a fantastic movie lahz.. thruout the movie piggy and i keep saying if only we are watching 3D.. the graphics is totally amazing! and we watch Treasure Hunter too which is a total CRAP!!! cannot make it at all! nonetheless, its a happy trip there =)

christmas, in comparison, is slightly less exciting this year.

PXP (PGMI Xmas Party) 2009 cant be celebrated at the office this year bcuz of that new manager.. so we move location to Hantu's house function room! there was a big hoohaa a week before the xmas party bcuz OW realised she wasnt invited to the party wahahaha! she make even more noise when she later realise her office pple oso din invite her! HAHAHA! but this thick-skinned elephant instead of doing some self-reflection on how come everyone left her out, she make a very big fuss out of the whole thing. really buay pai sehh..

anyway party went on well without her!! all the +1 were invited too hahaa.. poor piggy had to rush down from his blood donation drive to the party.. though this year its not as fun as last year, but its still enjoyable. at least, im feeling Christmas! we eat lotss of stuff, drink lots of red wine, received lots of prezzies and lots of cho-ing around! hahahhaa.. so much laughter! haven heard them for so long..

and since piggy is away, i spent my xmas eve shopping at Orchard with chuxian! sent her a list of stuff to help me buy in Korea hehe.. dinner with family and aunt's family at Say Cheeze! love their laksa chowder.. Christmas itself it only dinner with family and aunt's family again at Simpang. usually every year after dinner we will go to my aunt's house to drink and celebrate her birthday but bcuz bro needa work next day morning, din get to go this year =(

boxing day is FUN! started the day very early with watching Chipmunks 2! so cute lahz!! though not as much singing for this part 2. they din sing any xmas song too! but still, its the chipmunks so *thumbs up* hahaha.. then we went lunch at Downtown and went to Loyang Point partyworld! lalalala~ unfortunately i was sneezing the whole damn day i hardly enjoy the singing session lahz.. stupid running nose! after that we zoom down to East Coast's Tung Lok for seafood buffet dinner!!!!!!!!!! its yumilicious!!!!! a pity its 3 girls we couldnt eat that much.. all ah lun's fault lahz.. hahahaa~ but its damn good lahz.. i think its worth the money. we saw edwin & jacqueline there too! wonderful boxing day!! =)

and i FINALLY meet up with my groupmates!! really miss vicky, celin and that irritating lao pa! pity fen ling couldnt make it =( we had lunch at Marina Square and then drove down to Keppel Bay for some catching up session. haven seen them for a year! i must say, it has been a fruitful session for me and celin =) we cleared some doubts, share some stories and cho someone heartily!! lalallaa~ hahahaha.. felt sad for Vicky's dramatic life.. she really is a strong girl.. jiayou my squid sister! and of cuz that lao pa found a lao ma now! hope all will turn out well for him too, degree holder ah beng!! and got gf now really got difference worh.. he drove us all the way to Bedok 85 for dinner! not bad arh~ hahahhaa..

thats how i spent the last month of 2009.

now that its 2010, everyone is looking back at 2009. i tried to look back too.. but all i see is work work work and WORK. i spent nearly half a year to blend in with my colleagues and convince them that i hate OW just as much as them. or even more. they are fun and playful and joke around, but everyone left me out in alot of things they do at the beginning bcuz they all fear that if i know/go, OW will know about it and wanna join too.. that was how miserable life was.. and i had never tell anyone about it.. took really great effort to win their trust.. now that we all got the bond, someone else had to come in and break it..

but i got a feeling, even if we are all separated and not working in the same office anymore, the bond will still be there! cuz we are not colleagues anymore. we are all friends now =)

if you ask me to name just one resolution i have made looking back at 2009, it would be to marry myself off somehow or anyhow and not ending up like OW!!!!! muahahah~

2009 hasnt been a very smooth sailing year. actually... i sort of loathe it. i remembered that i said 2009 is a year of uncertainty. im right! hahaha.. but i've survived it.

now 2010 is here. well, frankly speaking, i dun have a good feeling too. im really worried about juggling work and studies. not just that, it also means i have to sacrifice alot of my personal time.. and money.. judging by me being the queen of procastinating, i really needa plan my time well to manage everything.. hahaha feeling guilty as i say that cuz the fact that i cant plan is more well-known than Obama being the first black president of United States. wahahaha~

BUT, im not gonna give up ok!!

the rest of the stuff.. i shall blog about it some other day.. i got no mood now.. bloody pissed off with some stupid people who like to make everything my fault..

birthdays after birthdays!

i just love birthdays =)

the girls were so sweet last week they bake me a cake for my belated birthday. all top with LOTS of strawberries! it tasted as good as it looked. i heard that they bake till like wee hours for my cake the day before.. thank you so much!!!!! and also the super cute card!

then we went head off to Sentosa! can u imagine i have been wanting to go to Sentosa for the past 1 year and haven been able to set foot there. *sigh* finally we are going! but the moment we reach Vivo it was pouring like anything. so we went for a walk and makan! was thinking of executing plan B but after lunch, the rain stops and the sun was out so we hurried to buy our picnic stuff and ran off to Sentosa!

we settled down at Siloso beach and had a luxurious picnic! everytime i put the sashimi in my mouth i will go "wahh lauu, really 奢侈!" wahahaha~ then the rain clouds were back so we faster finish our food and play with the water before it rains again.

had a really good laugh when taking the photos! especially looking at simin's expression when she jumps wahahaha! i really muz flash the picture up on your wedding day hehehe~

and then it rained. haha so we hide in the shelter for about an hour. after that its out to the sand & sea again! simin wanted to tan herself cuz she said she is turning whiter wahahaa but too bad its only rain-tan no sun-tan.

i am really enjoying myself!

then ru brought us to dinner at Mad Jack POMO. aww i miss POMO. haven had dance lessons for about a month =( and i doubt can have anymore since school is starting in Jan. (sidetrack: taking about school, bloody hell, condemn that shitty Citibank and their cannot make it customer service and bloody f-up system. i will NEVER get a Citibank card, u hear me.)

anyway back to topic.. i wun say the food is fantastic that cuz i din finish anything - my soup of the day, main course and dessert. but we had a fun experience there with this Canadian lady! hahahaa..

i totally agree with the saying that one need not have an abundance of friends, because most importantly all you need is to have one or two closet friend who will be there for you whenever you need them.

then its mummy's birthday! had a celebration before that at Dian Xiao Er and mummy really enjoyed the meal lo! i must say their food and service is really thumbs up. on her birthday itself had a mini celebration at home and piggy was there for dinner too =) the next day we went to Red Star for dim sum breakfast.. mum got 3 celebrations lo!!

and then it was hantu's birthday! happy birthday my dearest colleague =) i guess having her as my "new-found" friend is the best thing that ever happen to me joining this company. even ru and simin agrees with that yahh! and also knowing hantu's bunch of equally funny friends through dance.. so this year my meat friend, huihui, conspire with me to give hantu surprises on Friday - Macdelivery breakfast and flowers! hehehe~ and yesterday night went to K Box to countdown her bday too! nice to know you friend. when im out of this office, muz still keep in touch ok?

and this morning is early celebration for Jul's mum birthday =) had dim sum breakfast buffet at Habourfront Centre's Dragon Gate. not too bad.. but definitely Red Star is the best!! hehe~

its already December. its fast isnt it? im not prepared for 2010 yet and its already December!! *panick*

last 2 weeks of the year is gonna be packed with activities to the brim!! =)

happy toot-toot birthday to myself! =)

its been such a great birthday! other than my 19th bday, this is the best bday i ever had!

had my first celebration with childhood friends! we went to Illuma's Jap restaurant and apparently it din turn out to be a pleasant experience. nonetheless thanks ping for suggesting the place! bcuz i know it used to be good too.. i love their ramen there but somehow this time its not as good.. and pei for coming! though she has to rush off for her dance practice and skipped dessert =( hahaa of cuz and xian for remembering to buy a log cake to replace the one which i have misplaced last yr! hehe~ they got me a set of miniature Anna Sui perfume! dun worry lahz, im happy with ALL Anna Sui's products!

our TBLJ chalet turned into my bday celebration chalet hahaa~ so pai sehh! its suppose to be a company gathering that ended as my bday party.

we illegally had steamboat in the room on Thursday night! there were 13 of us squeezing in the limited space that we had and enjoying our probably the last 团圆饭 dinner together as colleagues. all the +1 (bf/hubby) were there too! nearly burn down the whole place bcuz of hantu & her lousy hp charger. after dinner was k box session! we got an extra BIG room!! birthday month privilege hehe~ got a complimentary cake too! in name it was for sukh's bday in memory of her =x wahaha~ so i blow the candle & cut the cake for her. happy birthday sukh mummy! hahaa

Friday afternoon, ETB drove hantu, me, joey & of cuz Elaine to Giant to buy the food for the BBQ but actually the main purpose is to get durians!!! still very amused by Pong Di's expression when hantu, joey, ivy and me were all drolling at the durians and he, who hate durians with his life, stood on the trolley far from the durians, point at us and ask us to move away from the durians section. wahaha~

so just as we were setting up the fire and preparing the food, it started to drizzle quite heavily.. jessica is so pissed with the other chalet who came so well-prepared they actually set up a shelter and cont BBQ-ing! she kana stripped off her BBQ queen title bcuz she actually dun know the existence of such a shelter. poor girl. but luckily it subsided in awhile and we are back to business!!

those TBLJ boys were suppose to come earlier to help with the food. ended up they only came after we finished out first round of food. but they were so sweet! they actually made me a board and started singing birthday song at the porch area. hehe! din expect them to do something like that given that these boy 'love face' one. thank you boys!!

after awhile, elaine came back with a big birthday cake! our cutie pie birthday just past last wk, and its also darren's bday on the 29th.. so we celebrated tgt! cheers to the saggitarius!! i've got pooh and ANOTHER Anna Sui!!! lalalala~ love birthdays~

and when i reached home after the BBQ, i got another surprise! sitting in my room was the purple Winnie the Pooh luggage! needless to say, sure is from shiru & simin~ wahaha, thank you girls so so so much! told u all dun spend so much money le, i'll be just as happy to have just the pooh oven gloves!! and sorry that u all have to celebrate my bday as belated... i bet it will still be as enjoyable as ever! rain rain go away~~

piggy brought me all the way to Holland V for their Crystal Jade steamboat! zhong dian is not the steamboat bcuz we already had it on Thursday.. that place actually offers FREE-FLOW xiao long bao!! its really heavenly~ we ate 5 baskets of the xiao long bao and condemn the szechuan suan la soup! ate and ate and ate until i almost cant walk.. after the dinner had a walk in Holland V.. it feels like strolling in BKK.. the other part of sg is really different~ while waiting for piggy's shirt to come, we make space for some ice cream!

rum & raisin + chocolate + blueberries = pure bliss!

after the man utd match ended he finally showed me the prezzie. this ben dan went to buy me a Sony camera when he strongly oppose to me buying Sony the other time.. LOL~ and he got me a newer version of the one i wanted. ben dan! told u i dun need such a good camera.. but i really love it! and even though he always niam me to stop buying pink stuff bcuz i've already grown up, he still got a pink cam.. hehehe~ love my piggy!! thanks! muackz!

and so, thats how i spent my toot-toot birthday~ really thank everyone for their wishes and prezzies and efforts =) sometimes i really think i dun deserve all these.. im just a blur sotong who most of the time dun know what is going on bcuz the time is all spend on making mistakes, apologising and throwing temper.. yet im always so lucky to have a nice bunch of pple around me who can tolerate all these=)

lovely Friday night out with the girls!

just a simple dinner and usual 38-ing session and its seems just like the past.. but things are different now.. u know what i mean. i dun feel like elaborating.

ah, my gastric. seriously, there hasnt been much improvement. i have been diligently taking my medicine before every meal and avoid all cold, spicy, sour, oily, milk and hard to digest stuff (though im suppose to eat porridge for the whole wk).

but my gastric is still hurting. its still stabbing me just as often. ok maybe lesser but its not like getting less pain each day. really wonder whats wrong with it.. are you trying to create a hole inside there?

updates on office - its still bad. super bad. no one can stand lady boss anymore. everyone has alot of rantings of her but for me, i think im not that affected. she din really target me. but as an employee, i have zero respect for her and i think its very much a failure as a manager. if she cant set a good example, how are we to convince ourselves that she is gonna lead the team well?

its sad.

office has been so quiet ever since she is here. all the laughters, shoutings, scoldings, singings and cryings are all gone now. occassionally u can hear a wail from perera when she is stress, and hantu singing "you are not alone~" when she is reminded that everyone is leaving. and that is it. no more. the thing that kept me moving even though get whack by OW everyday is bcuz i got these fun-loving colleagues who will curse her with me and we will just laugh it off happily.

now morale is so damn bloody low. everyone is "just do lo.. she ask then do lo, never ask then act blur lo". and that stupid woman still keep loading more and more stuff. really is stupid woman. comes January when everyone starts throwing letters, i see how bimbo she can get.

oops! sorry! bimbo is the wrong word to use. im disgracing lao jie if i use the word bimbo. lao jie says her brainless is its empty up there, rating 0. and that stupid woman brainless-ness rating is minus infinity.

im like a busy little bee for the past week!

last Tues was our secret farewell with my Fang ah mah. we refuse to go out for a farewell dinner with Ms D&G (new manager) on Thurs as she suggested, thus we discreetly organise it on Tues! muahaha~ had indian food at Clarke Quay with the bunch! Sukh's recommendation! 17 of us in total. so noisy in the restaurant (whats new).. today is fang ah mah first day at her new workplace. hope she is doing well. your cublet/cubsoon will miss u!

caught My Sister's Keeper with the girls on Wed. its been a decade since the 3 of us went into a cinema together lahz.. usually is the 2 of them cuz they like to watch shows which i dun ~~dare to~~ watch.. we bought sushi, Popeye's mash potato (yum!) and bubble tea in as dinner! =x i think the people seating in front of us muz be damn pissed cuz we making so much noise. wahahaha. but its a sad sad show. feel so sad for little Kate and Anna. this world is so unfair isnt it?

Thurs was shopping day for fang ah mah's farewell gift at Orchard..

i learn a new word from the TBLJ boys - LMAO(in case u all wondering what is TBLJ, it means Tiao Bo Li Jian - 挑拨离间). everything got acronym now.. seriously i think got generation gap with the kids. i got no idea what the fish L-MAO is until recently then figured out its - laugh my ass off. chey! anyway, its really LMAO on Friday during dance! claire wasnt around and we got another instructor who taught us a sexy dance, as quoted from her, to seduce guys. in the end hantu says we look like a bunch of frogs trying to seduce flies! wahahahaha!!! really LMAO! so funny!

and BH, i swear all these dance are not doing us any good cuz after that, we went 85 for dinner. we eat more than we exercised. with hantu, my meat fren, christina, ru and hantu's friend. piggy is there as well! so he came over to join us in our next year's HK trip discussion. HONG KONG!!!!!! HK! HK! HK! HK! HK! couldnt stop laughing at Hyatt Hotel's toilet in Taipei flushing down cupboards =.="

then Sat had to work my ass off like a Blangra for the PF at HPB. moving the stupid 400 goodie bags & doing the set up almost killed me. its worse than Cochrane! after the whole thing when i meet piggy and his friends for dinner, my dear says im zombie-fied. which i think i am. bcuz the moment i reach home and sat on sofa, i fell asleep within seconds. there goes my teeny weeny quality time to spend with piggy.

and today, staff clinic grant me an MC for tmr. my gastric has been protesting for the whole week and i have been ignoring it. but the sharp pain is hitting me more and more frequent. Dr Ratnam is so funny! she keep asking me, am i facing alot of stress lately. i think think and told her no. which is the truth. now, especially today, its so happening in office, even more dramatic than 溏心風暴, im so busy choosing between popcorns and potato chips to watch the shows, where got stress?? more amused than anything. she wasnt very convinced that im not stressed after looking at my department. she says our dept are well known for our stressful job scope. LOL. so cute lahz she. and now i have to keep track of how frequent im feeling the pain, how long is the pain and the pain level daily for a month and do a report for her.

hope its not that serious bah?

i haven updated here for sooo long! im finally back from the crazy conference! to think i work a straight 48hours with only half an hour of nap in between for the first 2 days.. im so proud of myself!

and through this conference i got to know a cute bunch of xiao didi, which are all my cousin and his friends. i have NEVER seen anyone that could eat as much as them, niam as much as them, as hardworking as them, and as kaypoh as them!! everyone of them really makes my day. especially my blushing cutie pie! lucky i got such a capable assistant to help me run level 3.

and joey says i 慈母多败儿 bcuz the temps bully me.. wahaha! actually not lahz.. its because i give them too much freedom thats why.. they din bully me.. in the end i got transferred to do registration after the 2nd day.. then they miss me.. tsk tsk.. these boys..

i finally get to go into Chijmes for this event! i have been like wanting to go in there for the longest time.. the church inside is so beautiful.. as in structure wise.. that is for the welcome party. and we had our farewell party at ACM. the boys really enjoyed themselves so much, piling their food and dancing with the ang moh delegates till late. where to find such a good job?

and of cuz, we get to stay in Pan Pacific bcuz of this conference but we spend like sooo little time there only cuz when we reach back hotel, the only things we do is bath and lie flat. few hours later, its back at Suntec.

(PS: Suntec management sucks)

so anyway, the boys just miss us so much, they ask us out for steamboat dinner again today. hehehehe. i brought piggy and philip along. and my my, philip got a good catch today hehehehe~ piggy is damn shocked by their monster appetite hahahaha. these kids are still growing lahz.. after dinner we went to Chijmes hall for Man Utd soccer match and some drinks! and i had my popeye chicken & mash potato in the afternoon!!

recently there is this hoo-haa about the Miss Singapore 2009 with her horse-pee-telly-tee and boomz!

well, kiang tio ho, mai geh kiang. this is what i call KNOW YOUR OWN LIMITS. otherwise this is what will happen.

so much for this week. honestly i was cursing her inside for spoiling my long weekends. i thought i wun shed a tear for her, but i did. and i never felt any sadness at all.. not until.. the moment before she was cremated. and the sadness was because my dad lost his mother, not because i lost my grandma.

i hope all the drama will now come to a rest now that she is gone..

and now for this whole week, i felt totally drained of energy. cant focus on doing anything except fretting over my dull backache. really hope to have someone who i can lean on and comfort me abit, but piggy is so so busy with his school work and mad deadlines. so its me and myself.

did a health screening this morning! free for all staff. they took 2 tubes of blood from me and left a big hole on my arm. never had a needle hole that hurts so much before. and i got 16.7 for my BMI. prone to osteoporosis and nutritional deficiency diseases. HAHAHA! come on people, feed me!!

today is the $9.7million F1 TOTO draw. POMO was so crowded with ah pek after our dance lesson ended. of cuz, my office continue the trend of pooling money tgt and buy the TOTO. and as usual, the resignation letter had been mass-send to everyone in the dept to flood our new manager table. and well, whats new, our $9.7million is lost in delivery again.

no prize, no school fees, i am still a broke girl.

but, i will still choose sleep over $10K treasure hunt.

i had packed my long weekends with activities and now i received the news that my paternal grandma had passed away. looks like my long weekend is gone. if u are surprise by my reaction, i am totally not close to this grandma a teeny weeny bit so it doesnt really affect me at all.

anyway today was such an exciting day at work because everyone put their heads together to solve the clue for the Great Singapore Treasure Hunt and crack the case before other pple! but some people later spoil market by posting the answer online. we send one colleague and colleague's bf, ETB, down to Clifford Pier to grab the prize of the day, which we eventually found out that it was a Lenovo lappy.

ETB actually solved the second clue, which was to identify someone with a 6-folds ice cream fan while the rest had 7-folds. the judges did not hear him but heard the girl next to him when she spit the answer out 3 secs after him. what a waste!!

but it was such an addictive and fun contest!

talking abt office, new manager is coming in in 1 Oct. there will be some major changes and whatsnot. dun like changes. not when im starting to feel comfortable with what im doing now. then again, its not within our control.

having another major event in Oct! hotel stay tradition will still continue and this time, its gonna be Pan Pacific! woohoo, 5 star hotel =) staying for 5 straight days. event itself is in Suntec Convention Centre. feeling so excited! used to always work there as temps. this time is the role of an organiser! praying for the event to go smoothly.

and with such a busy schedule, plus piggy's extra lessons, we wun be seeing each other for 3 weeks. guess this is gonna be more frequent once my school starts next year.

i am always quite confident with my culinary skills. afterall i used to love to stay in the kitchen and my mum and grandma cook everyday.

yesterday piggy decided to have some homecook food for dinner. so we bot chicken drumstick, cod fish, his fav xiao bai cai and the CP shrimp wanton soup to make dinner. all these were rather easy.

then i realise i dunno how to cook rice.

i added too much water to the rice that the water in the pot dried up but my rice is still wet. oh btw, my house dun use rice cooker. my mum prefer traditional way. so anyway, we ended up eating semi-porridge-rice stuff to go with the food. =x

next time i shall cook porridge instead. cuz u just need add lots of water hehe~

din buy any camera this time. feel so disappointed going to comex twice yet din get to take home a camera. oh well.. i guess i am just not fated with cameras lahz. i just cant break the curse. give up. *wave white flag*

my 2nd mummy shocked me with a sentence after a dressing down from you-know-who yesterday for NOTHING. i swear its really for NOTHING.

my dear 2nd mummy, the most patience person that could ever exist on Earth, actually tell me she couldnt take it anymore.

i feel so sorry for her. she really dun deserve all these. just because she is an easy push-over, she always have to take all the crap for me.

and you-know-who, after all the nonsense, knew that i was trying to act deaf and pretend to continue to do work and totally ignore her when she was doing her scream, came to sweet talk me. say that i am a very capable person just that i din believe in myself and that i have proven to be able to take on more responsibilities and must do well to raise my profile and all the bullshit.

seriously. i may be stupid. but i know my own capabilities. slapping the horse butt on me is not going to work at all.

im not feeling that affected this time. not that upset or angry. i just feel sad for my 2nd mummy. if she is going to leave, i will too!

today is the start if our new class! beginners class is really more fast pace than the intro one. and im really panting and perspriring like crazy after the 1 hour. but i like that feeling! i like this new dance more than the previous one!

over dinner just now daddy was asking me about my uni application and what course im choosing. he thought im gonna take early childhood course. lolx. my brother rolled his eyes and say he will pity the children i teach.

to my surprise my mum actually nod!

even mummy oso realised that.. my temper had been going out of control lately, especially if i have a bad day at work, i will throw my temper at any little thing, at anyone.

i have realised that i am getting harder and harder to be contented. those things that i used to feel happy about no longer feels the same.

early in the morning i already got cursed by a bitch that i am going to drop dead tomorrow.

i really dunno what i do wrong for her to curse me straight in the face to die the next day.

u know how upset i feel??? i din even do anything wrong i dun think i deserve to be cursed this way???

everyone telling me to ignore her but u are not the one experiencing it, its easy for anyone to say ignore her.

and it really really doesnt help that you sound so irritated when u answer the phone as though i purposely din want to pick up your call, and then ask me to do something beyond my means. it also doesnt help that u totally ignore what i said to you. why are things turning this way??

i love the outing today! its like something we never had before..

philip drive laymin, serene, piggy and sick me to the red star restaurant for breakfast early morning. dim sum there is always so shiok! its that authentic feeling that makes u enjoy your dim sum even more though it means u have to wake up as early as 8am on a Sunday morning for that. we eat and eat and eat so much! everyone is so excited lolx. we left the place feeling so bloated but satisfied.

then philip's GPS had mood swing (PMS we suspect) and refuse to work! wahaha. our next destination was suppose to be Keppel Way at Habourfront but we ended up driving past Redhill mrt. lolx! and his GPS still refuse to work or reset. lucky have laymin there and she was quickly employed as the manual GPS. while driving past Henderson, we saw the Henderson Wave!! thats the place i always wanted to go! so we made a u-turn and went up to the bridge for a short walk. the scenery is so nice there! but we are all in the wrong attire. took some photos, found some lucky 4-D number (but number din open haixx) and we left for Keppel Way.

its such a nice place to chill. went to TCC and then explore the Keppel Bay area. shhh dun tell people about the place. cuz its so quiet and nice there now with few people around. sat and watch the cruise sailing off. philip and piggy waved at the people on board and they waved back LOL! its time for a cruise ride!!! the breeze there is really wonderful. and we had a stupid time trying to take a group photo! wahahaha.

initially plan to head home after that, but dunno what happen and we suddenly decide to go for fish spa at Chinatown! i have always wanted to try that. so we went to Pearl Centre and found this cheap and decent looking fish spa. $8 for 15mins! its so itchy! hahaha and we are so noisy there, squeaking and laughing. but its quite comfortable actually. definitely going back for more fish feeding session! queued for 4-D too!

and its already time for dinner by then! we walked over to Maxwell market for fish bee hoon!!! oh my god its the fish bee hoon that i have been finding so long. the real authentic one! but the sad thing is i cant taste the soup with my bad flu =( and we went to get the ham ji pang too. philip is working part time there now. hehe.

sadly we din tio the 4-D (the number from Henderson Wave). if not piggy was saying we go for a full body fish spa. wahahaha, i wun want that man. its tickish!

so we started and ended our day taditionally. wahahaha. its definitely a good one. never had such fun outing that doesnt include window shopping in the list.

had my dance on Friday! haixx my hands and legs cant coordinate anymore. i feel that my body dun know each other very well. need to communicate more with them. wahahaha. but it was a good exercise.

things are getting stale here. haven been updating recently about life. i have so much to say!

and the reason why im here now to update about life is bcuz im on MC! not H1N1 i hope. shud be the super typhoon-like rain that i got caught in when going to work on wed morning. Perera's expression was so hilarious when she saw me dripping water as i walk into office. then the next day im down with flu liao. the doctor in staff clinic is so funny when i told her i dun think i need 2 days MC!

"aiyo, 风水轮流转! last time people come to us to get MC, now we have to force people to take MC."

piggy came back from HK already! (thats like old news) and he take his temperature daily and today is the 7th day. so he is safe! piggy got me lots of stuff from HK! *muackz* we went to watch Transformer at e hub. had watched it before with simin and ru on Tuesday for the preview!! it fantastic!! and i seriously dun understand why everyone is criticising it. i still feel the excitement watching it the second time.

and i finally step into St James!!! *happy* with my glutton colleagues, we now have something call 'MMS' aka 'Monthly Makan Session'. June happen to be the launch of this session and first in the list is Brozeit Bar and Restaurant @ Vivo! they also had Boiler in the itinerary after makan. honestly i just wanna have dinner and zao cuz i have a workshop to run the next morning at like 7am. but u know, i just cant resist!! especially after hantu doll up herself so pretty that day, how could i miss out the fun?? i know piggy is angry when he call me after his plane just touch down in sg and i was still there =x okiee i promise, no more partying if i having a course to run the next day k?

im gonna dance again! with hantu, elaine, ru and a couple more of their friends. this time is girl's hip hop! i wasnt very interested at the beginning since my experience in TP one wasnt that good and i just join bcuz they need people to form the class. but now im getting excited liao!! its gonna start on the Friday 2 weeks from now. woohoo~

from this sentence onwards, its gonna be my grumblings again. i will die if i bottle anything. bear with me k?

we got a new name for OW. she is now known as BBBC aka Bloody Biga Bai Chi (eve insist on adding the word bloody and biga lolx). she is seriously getting from bad to worse, ok maybe is worse to worse-est.

the day before i went BKK, she make a big hoo-haa in the office about one super minor issue - sticker label. it was seriously getting on my nerve and thought i will blow up any second already so i excuse myself to the toilet to calm down. and on my way back, i heard a dog barking so loudly the whole office went dead silent. irritating piece of shit. all she knows is to kb when people are laughing and having fun during lunch (without her) that the noise is disturbing. doesnt she knows that the way she bark is even more annoying!!!!! at least laughing is better than scolding u understand???

and she still accuse me of walking out the office in a huff when she trying to help us. PUII! i announced im going to the toilet before i went off k? its ur problem if u are deaf. she ended up screaming and threw the labels on the floor and walk off, after pointing her big fat ugly finger at me and say i am UPSET. hello???!!!! who is the one screaming and throwing tantrum like 3 year old kid now?? the most gross part is she came back after that and still tell me in her sweet ~~spine-shivering~~ voice

now that she got outcast by her own office people (which unfortunately is just beside our office. if only they can move to Mars), she come over to sit at our side more often than ever and go nagging on and on and on and on and on about her glory stories. after that she will kb us how come we din get work done within the deadline. NOW HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO WORK WHEN U ARE SITTING BESIDE US YAK-KING NON STOP AND THROW TEMPER WHEN WE IGNORE U!!!!!!!!!!! i had to go to the extent of hiding my stool away so that she will yak shorter since she dun get a seat. dun ask me why i haven give her one tight slap given my rash character. thank you 2nd mummy for always taking on all the blames and counselling me not to stoop to her level. she is right. what different will i be from her if i scream and shout back?

i oso believe that she is abit psychotic. she just dun like seeing people happy without her. is this the mentality of LCN? she wants to feel important, popular and indispensable and blames people for leaving her out or form cliques and whatnots, but on the other hand, she never bother to question herself why is everybody doing that to her?

so what if u have the knowledge of everything in the world? Everyone else have what u dun have. And that is friendship and mutual respect. SHAME ON U! Living on this world for almost half a century is simply wasting Earth resources. you think u are so god damn bloody good? ur ace is just making everyone around u detest u thats all. what an achievement =)

Happy birthday to my piggy dear!!

1st birthday celebration after smelling freedom. muz be good uh. hehe..

Monday was ORD celebration with piggy, philip and mary @ Heeren's Shokudo. piggy so happy with his pink IC. wahaha. finally he now belongs to ME not the army! muahaha~ but i needa release him to SMU again like soon. sooner than i thought. this time for even longer. hahaa. after dinner went to Orchard Central to scare the hell out of me with the escalator before getting a ride home from philip.

Tuesday was movie day with my colleagues @ Filmgarde Iluma. had dinner at this japanese ramen shop there and i just had ramen at Shokudo the day before haha. Ghost of girlfriend's past is really a highly recommended non blockbuster movie of the year! Matthew McConaughey got such charisma that my colleague was screaming 'hao shuai!' when the first scene was filming his shoes only. LOL. but the movie is good. had 2 full hours of good laugh.

Wednesday was prezzie buying day. had already went for one round on Sunday and got him a Prada keyholder (to motivate him to get his license and car!) and this is part 2 of it. rotted with ru at cine to wait for philip and mary to join us to get piggy's prezzie. nice fred perry laptop bag! and that stuff is heavy. hahaa.

Thursday grabbed stuff from NTUC and head home for some cake baking session. din manage to bake a real proper cake cuz i realise i do not have enough time for that so i just substitute it with a choco banana brownie! love my oven! got piggy the X mini speakers too after some sotong conversation with the salesperson.

Friday is piggy's day! bluffed him that i needa go back to office last minute for an urgent meeting on H1N1 in the morning just before i reach his hse. deliberately took the lift to the level above so he cant see me from the window. then sms him that i left something at his doorstep ask him go take while i standing there with the cake and litted candles. muahahaha~ we went back tp for lunch! then off to suntec and marina for a walk then to Orchard for dinner @ Rice Table! piggy just dun believe me that i know my way to International Building . am i really that seriously bad with directions? the food is great! its an Indonesian Food Buffet. im so proud of myself that i actually can plan where to go for dinner!! on our way home piggy got a lil upset when we were on the topic of saving money. felt guilty about it cuz i think i choosen the wrong time to touch that topic. im sorry =( piggy loves the prezzies! so happy!

Today is celebration with philip, mary and ru @ Hotpot Culture. Its one straight week of good food. the 2 of us are gonna grow FAT!!!! went to watch The Taking of Pheglem 123 before the dinner. not a bad movie though i still dun understand the motive behind all the crap when he knows he cant walk out alive. hahaa. dun understand why the world needs to be so complicated. we were oso on some sensitive topic as we were shopping before the movie and all i can say is, it all boils down to respecting each other's belief and faith. anyway mary was very impressed with the dinner. so full after that! im sure piggy loves it too. off to Gloria Jeans for some pirate sharing session before heading home.

its has been a long week. finally its time to get some rest.

im back from the Land of Smiles =)

its really 3 days non stop of 'Shop till Drop' activities one after another.

6 June 2009, 7.15am, 3K511

flew off to Bangkok just as the sun is rising. first time taking budget air. its really budget. as usual i just cant stand the feeling of plane taking off. but now i dare to look out of the window more often! *proud of myself*

reached BKK at 9.35am our time. feeling hungry. grab luggage and took cab to Asia Hotel. their traffic argh is really bad. took an hour to reach the hotel. hungry. piggy went to bath while i unpack the stuff then set off to Chaktuchap Market. HUNGRY, i wan my Mr Bean! its already 130pm Singapore time when we reach Chaktuchap. as all may know, the phrase 'a hungry (wo)man is an angry (wo)man' is created for me. so i was losing my temper bcuz i dun see food!!! hahahaha. finally got a kerab at 2pm after starving for 8 hours from the time i wake up lolx.

after filling stomach = shopping time!

non stop shopping till 5pm. really walk until i cant walk anymore. the market is too big!!! and they got really cheap stuff there i must say. got one time piggy look really angry and worried when he turn back and couldnt find me. i was also angry bcuz he just keep walking and din hear me call out to him. and also bcuz i still hungry. blea~ by the end of the shopping my hand was so full with all the heavy stuff. surrender and went back to hotel to put the stuff and bath before going Suan Lum for dinner and of cuz more shopping!

piggy ask me to choose what to eat and i accidentally chose one expensive restaurant. oops! finally first proper meal of the day at BKK. did the manicure for just 100baht!!!! got lost in Suan Lum and couldnt find the way out after shopping. got a drink at Starbucks then walk down their street and passby Pak Pong. then overshot the BTS and ended up walking alot of yuan wang lu. lolx. went to 7-11 to stock up LOTS of water before heading back to hotel. alot of pple told me Asia Hotel is 'not clean' and old and stuff. but i find it alright leh. will go back to the hotel again next time i go BKK. dead tired after whole day of walking.

couldnt wake up in the morning. left with only half an hour for breakfast lolx. after that went up to bath and continue to sleep wahaha. their shopping centres dun open so early so its alright.

today's plan is Platinum Mall! its really not call the fashion mall for nothing. the whole 5 storey mall, at least 2 times the size of Far East, got nothing but just fashion stuff! walk and walk and buy and buy. omg. just so big and so many stuff! already needa drag myself to walk by the 3rd level cuz leg aching. so rested over lunch at their food court. piggy went to buy their authentic Thai food for me. im really amazed at their vege diet!!! lunch was fantastic.

then continue with the remaining 2 levels. came out of the mall and its freaking hot outside so went to hide in A&W! gosh i miss their curly fries and waffles with ice cream!!!!!!!! can see that piggy love it too. shopped abit at their 'Sim Lim Square' then back to hotel to put the stuff and bath again. cant stand the weather. and we overshot our hotel cuz we went the wrong direction. ahh!! second yuan wang lu!!

initially piggy plan to take me to their Chinatown for dinner. in the end change plan and went to MBK instead. we alight at the wrong station AGAIN and walk more yuan wang lu before finding it. wah kaoz. its another super big shopping centre. din buy alot of things there bcuz purpose was to just shortlist the things we want and come back to buy tmr. went to G-Mask my phone! so bling now! piggy got his phone a makeover too =) by the time we want to go for dinner, the food court is closing. coupon cannot refund =( wasted 200baht. so we went to their famous steamboat MK Restaurant instead. hearty meal. piggy keep commenting their stock is so nice. and after so much food, its only 406 baht for the 2 of us!!!

the mall was close by the time we finish dinner. its only like 930pm their time only. so early lolx. they were having pasar malam outside the BTS and its more shopping there till late. the moment my head hit the pillow i was off to lala land.

that lazy piggy just refuse to get out of the bed for breakfast! left with half an hour for breakfast again hahaha. dreading to go back and pack the stuff bcuz i dunno where to squeeze them!!!!!! *faints* its our 27 months anniversary today! and i knew piggy forgot about it from the look on his face. blea! had to check out at 12pm so left our baggage at the lobby, book a bloody expensive cab to bring us to the airport later and went Siam. piggy was so broke after paying the cab fare. poor thing. so today its my treat.

Siam Paragon is so beautiful. they got Jimmy Choo!!!!! *went crazy* all expensive stuff so piggy say its just to show me how posh the place is only lolx. piggy tell me die die muz try their McDonald's pork burger. im so addicted to it!!

left Siam for MBK again.

i told myself no more shopping cuz i cant carry them anymore but u know.. just cant resist. hehehe. and that naughty piggy scare the hell out of me till i cry when he show me some damn gross fried creepy crawlie. humph!!! not fun ok.

had shark fin for lunch at their food court! and bird nest for dessert. and Dunkin Donuts for tea break. good life man. hahaha. head back to hotel to collect the baggage to go airport.

our flight is ay 9.15pm Bangkok time. bcuz of the atrocious traffic piggy book the cab at 5.30pm lolx. lucky we give ourselves so much time to buffer. the stupid jam is really jialat and i almost puke when i reach the airport. rounded up the trip with a tom yum soup for dinner then time to check in liao. both of us struggling with all the bags. the flight got delayed till nearly 10pm.

flight was smooth at first then suddenly got hit by turbulence at midnight. first time experiencing that and the plane was shaking so badly, going up and down. *go crazy* thats really scary. lucky got piggy with me.

reached Singapore at 12.50am Singapore time. with so much walking, the sun and the heavy baggage, all i could think of is to hit my bed!! dun even have the mood to shop in DFS. hehe.

and i lost track of how many stupid and silly things i have done during these 3 days. haixx. piggy, why did u choose a sotong as ur gf? tsk tsk.

so my two sisters is now one year older than me! hehe~

Was clearing the Vesak Day leave so i took last Friday off to celebrate ru and simin's birthday. we eat and eat and walk and walk so much that day. plus the stupid weather and heavy prezzies. lolx. birthday girl rewarded herself with so much stuff! It's GSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! and i swear i wun go shopping alone with ru next time. MUST bring simin along!! because she is the only GI (good influence) around that stop me from spending. hehe! hope the 2 birthday girls enjoy themselves and the prezzie. nothing fanciful or special this year, cuz too old to have roaring birthday party liao!! hehehehe~

Finally my crazy bunch of colleague chosen a non-horror movie to watch on Saturday - Monsters vs Alien. hehe. so i ask piggy if he wanna tag along and to my surprise, piggy actually agree to go watch the movie worh. 9 of us met for dinner at Vivo's Sabuya for sabu sabu before the movie. im craving so much for the sashimi now! dunno if piggy is bored or not bcuz we were laughing so much about work stuff that he dun quite understand. then again, its so difficult not to laugh with hantu and perera around. they are the drama queen!

yesterday went to eighteen chef for dinner with the girls. and then again we are convinced that ru can be a good maths teacher. we decided to come out with a PSLE-quality maths questions from ytd's headache. This is the problem sum:

A. B and C went out for dinner together. The three of them ate 3 different set meals which cost differently. As B is a student, she can enjoy student meal at a cheaper price which she decided share the discount with the rest. There was also a 10% off from the total bill, which amount to err.. err.. i think is $37? A fork out $5, B gave $20 and C gave $13 when paying the total bill. However before that, B owes A $20and A owes B $4.20. Thus, after everything, how much should B return to A?

tough algebra question isnt it? i think so too. every exam paper shud have this kinda confusing questions to scare students.

hehehe.

im such a happy girl now =)

after one week of porridge diet scheme, i finally got to eat Popeye on Saturday! super happy.. piggy bring me all the way to the flyer just to eat Popeye.. yummy and happy! night at the museum 2 is super funny too!

yesterday was girls' outing! crazy party world day! seriously i cant remember when was the last time pinggie, xian, pei and i went k box together. after dinner at TanPoPo at Liang Court, went to Party World to celebrate Pinggie's birthday! love the interior design and all the stupid props Party World offers. so fun lahz! hope tako birthday girl enjoys herself as much as i did. Pinggie with nu ren wei now! hehehe.

pei was telling us about her experience with her dance friends and how they began to drift away when they found different goals in life. and she said hope we wun end up like them when we have different goals in life.

well in the first place we already have different goals in life! hahaha.. what amaze me is that we have known each other since primary school, and same secondary school. but the 4 of us only hang out together after we graduate from sec sch. never had we went out together before in sec sch days.

we do have such different goals in life. our schedule is always packed and its really not easily to fix a time to meet up. but i guess its all about the respect and trust that we have bah? afterall isnt that the two key elements in friendship? if there is not enough trust or the most basic RESPECT, how to even maintain a friendship isnt it?

so we fall under the category of 'childhood friends'! they may not always be there when u need them but u know u are the most comfortable when u are with them =) thanks!

its end of mayday again. that means its birthdayssssss week =)

back to the dentist just now after work. after 3 days the swell and pain doesnt get any better.

and i thought the pain on Sunday night was bad enough. when the dentist clean my swollen gum with a syringe and saline solution, i nearly wanted to scream out in pain. really hoping for someone to grab my hand and tell me its alright. but there is no one. i have to grab the chair.

and she still refuse to extract my teeth. she ask me to monitor the situation and to go back to them immediately if there is still no improvement bcuz my whole face will swell if it still persist.

wow.

so i got double dosage of medication now.

my poor mummy.

since i got the swell she had to cook porridge for me for all 3 meals bcuz i cant eat anything else, wake me at night to eat my medicine, run to the market every now and then to stock up fish to go with the porridge, dry my tears on Sunday night when i couldnt stop crying, gave me a hug and a pat on my head just now when i was jumping up and down from the pain.

now the mystery behind my super bad headache for the past 4 days finally reveals. its my stupid wisdom tooth again.

it was just a dull ache yesterday but it got so bad at night i totally couldnt sleep. i had to sit at the foot of my bed and try to sleep because the pain gets like x100 worse when i lie down.

had to force myself to the dentist in the early morning. u can imagine how unbearable the pain was bcuz i swear not to go to the dentist. i was so scared that they would need to extract my tooth till i woke piggy up to accompany me. the dentist says my gum is swollen because of some infection. she gave me a jab and some medicine and if its still that bad then have to go back to extract the tooth.

BIG sigh of relief.

i promised to write a good review on Chin Huat Steamboat after the excellent service they provided when i went with the girls on friday. it was originally located at Marina Bay, with the famous adv on the live prawn and live crab steamboat. the entire street of buzzing steamboat business was reduced to a dead city after they chase away the pple to build the IR.

so Chin Huat (aka Zhen Fa) relocate itself at the street opposite Novena Square. the ambience and everything is totally different now. no more slippery floors, messy food queue and lousy hygiene standard. now its air-conditioned, still has its live prawn and crab, and with additional teppanyaki, bbq and dessert sections. its definitely worth trying!!

the 93 minutes yesterday seems like the longest time ever. the kan jiong look on piggy's face when the extra time was like damn 3 minutes and how tightly he grab my hand towards the final minute. hahaha. piggy refuses to go out and watch the big match yesterday bcuz he noticed that everytime we go out and watch big matches, man utd would end up losing. hahaha! so to be safe, we ate dinner very early and came home to watch the match.

and Man Utd won the championship again!

hahahaha.. i hope next season the luck will change. i wan go out and watch big matches!!

im gonna be a student again!

hantu and i have just made up our mind to take up the Bachelor in Communication in UniSIM for the Jan 2010 intake. and we get to enjoy government subsidy for our part time degree so school fees is much cheaper!

no more Early Childhood for the time being first. i have to face the fact that 兴趣不能当饭吃。its more practical to get a normal degree now.

once the application is open we will officially turn into student by next Jan!

feeling happy to be a student again =) be on the other hand, it means that i will be very very busy and tied up having to juggle work and studies at the same time. that also means i will have lesser time to meet with the girls, accompany piggy, and SHOPPING! =( really needs LOTS of self-discipline. self discipline in the aspect of motivating myself to study after a long working day and refraining myself from splurging on everything i fancy to save for school fees. do u think i can manage it?

due to this commitment, i might have to forget about job hopping for the time being. as much as i detest the hierachy here, working in a hospital really gets u to be exposed to alot of unexpected things. just like the recent influenze A incident that got the whole hospital on its toes. then u get to witness that life and death is just separated by a thin line. u get to realise what is the thing u wan to treasure in ur life.

for me, i will definitely treasure relationships more than monetary satisfaction. money will not stand by my side when i need someone to be there, people do. my piggy, the girls, my family.. they always do.

monetary satisfaction, unfortunately, does blind people. but i freak at the thought of turning back looking for someone to be there and see a sea of people, but putting on a fake mask. who will be real in front of *everyone kneel down and start hailing away at the word*

i suddenly realise the picture at the top of my blog was 2 years ago! gosh, and i din realise it till now. so made an effort to change it ytd night =)

this long holiday has been well-spent! friday is kbox-ing with the girls! i have been craving for a k box session since i cant rmb when and had to keep postponing it bcuz of the ASM. LALALALALALALALALA~~~~~~~~~ so fulfilling hehe. then its back home and baking my cheesecake!

ytd went Suntec to change the money for my Bangkok trip. haixx. the swine flu really hit at a bad timing. hope still can get to go there in June.. i have been hoping for an overseas trip with piggy for so long already =(

then went off to town.. after piggy and philip cant decide on what movie to watch, i made the both of them accompany me to Far East instead to get my Inuovi loose powder. these 2 lazy guys! from PS to Far East oso wanna take train.. tsk tsk.. hahaha.. and i had a hard time explaining what is a loose powder to both of them.. piggy if u really wanna know about all the cosmetics, i got a whole drawer of them and i think u need 1 week of lectures and tutorials to understand what they are! hehe.

and piggy loves the peach cheesecake! he says the cheesecake looks very nice this time and taste good. i hope he doesnt say that to make me happy only bcuz i told him i think the cheesecake looks weird. blea! am going to try out durian cheesecake and oreo cheesecake next time!

today had to clear my wardrobe bcuz mummy is complaining that she cant squeeze the cltohes in anymore! hehehehe~~ not much effect seen after clearing though. mummy gave up hahahha!

after i realise how much my OT claims are, i haven been able to control myself from spending money. From online shopping of clothes to cosmetics, mask, shoes, good food... everything! at this rate im spending i will deplete my extra income before i even go to Bangkok! plsssssssssssss stop me!!!

im back im back!!

jinxed event has finally come to an end. as jinxed as it was supposed to be, it went pretty smoothly.

so as expected, the OT-ing on the week of the event is madness. lucky thing is the 9 of us moved to Link Hotel to camp, so u can imagine us crawling down the hill at 1am and then dragging ourselves up the hill again at 6.15am.

then of cuz, i kept my job as an apologiser. even to the day of the event i still have to apologise =( this kinda made me realise that im not cut out for events. too much nitty gritty stuff to take note while im just a careless sotong lahz. and the hardwork put in for the event is really so much. its really 台上一分鐘, 台下十年功. after OT-ing straight from Valentine's Day in Feb to event day in mid April, everything actually just ended in a matter of hours.

formal dinner is so fun! not so much the dinner but after the dinner. the dinner was abit dramatic cuz alot of heart stopping incidents haha. one of them include me too engross in CMB's speech until i forgot i needa do usher. when the emcee mention the name i suddenly jumped and practically throw my walkie talkie away and run to the person. lucky got train to run in heels hehe.

Ritz Carlton is really fantastic. bcuz of the formal dinner we get to complimentary room in level 23 and oh my god, the view is splendid! and the legendary bathroom is woohoo lahz! we all crowd in the bathroom to soak our legs in the bathtub, enjoying the view, while sipping red wine. this is life man! how many times in a lifetime do u get to that?

that aside, april, being the jinxed month, alot of unfortunate incidents happened. our pantry auntie suddenly pass away last sat. everyone really feel so sad for her bcuz she has always done such a good job. RIP auntie. we will miss u.

then even saddening news, boss is leaving us =( i guess good people just cant survive in this world. lao ban, all the best to you. no matter what other people say, u are still the best lao ban! u know it, and we all know it =)

out to celebrate xian's birthday today with ping and pei at the Singapore Flyer.

nope, we are not there to take the flyer bcuz birthday girl and me scared of heights and i dun think pei and ping enjoy listening to our screamings throughout the 30minutes.. hehehe!

so we went there for makan only. initially wanted to try the Hibiki jap restaurant but they were closing already (at 2.30pm mind u) so we went to some Leary's Bar and Restaurant. got reminded of man utd defeat again bcuz the tv was on football channel. boo!!

anyway their food sucks. the baby pork ribs that me and xian share was like rubber, pei's butter rice taste like rice without butter. the only edible thing is ping's fish and chips. dun think gonna try that again.

ended up we went to Popeye after taking pictures in the Yakult Rainforest thingy. Popeye still the best. the mash potato is finger licking good! (oops =x) i wanted to tah bao it back for my bro bcuz he loves mash potato but being sotong me, i left the mash potato at the table and left without realising. by the time i rmb, we were already in the cab on our way home. haixx..............

thought can pop over to find piggy cuz he was at the floating platform for some event in the morning. but it ended so early! haha.. good for him though. can go back and have a good rest. cya next week!

i took a half day leave on Tuesday though, to go back to TP with my colleague hantu-ning. she also graduate the same year as me just that she is in IT school. happy happy going back! we went design school for western. initially decided to go for movies but in the end the timing sucks and we had reach office next day like 7am? so we rot at the library and play facebook. my admin number and password still usable!! and i saw Dr Arnold Tan!! he keep nodding when i told him i working in SGH now. wahaha. stable healthcare industry uh. and he say i look good now wahahaha! that means i dun look good last time i guess~

i just had yummy pasta! i swear its really the best tasting (home-cook) pasta i have ever tasted. we usually will cook tomato-based pasta with bacon, canned mushroom and sausage. today piggy suggest to cook cream-based pasta with bacon, big button mushroom and salmon! its really good. we got secret recipe! hehe. i call this post-vday-celebration. yay~

kinda broke lately. 2 colleagues went overseas concurrently this month and poor them have to help us carry stuff back. me got one Coach wristlet from US and nearly the whole faceshop back from Korea! woohoo!

seriously, i dun have any new year mood at all this year.

then my dad cheekily suggest to go Chinatown after reunion dinner at my grandma house yesterday. even though we violently object to that, the driver is my dad!! we dun have a choice wahahaha.

the atmosphere is great! first time in my 21 years i went countdown for CNY at Chinatown.. it was drizzling but it din dampen the mood. its good! not as bad as i thought i would be.. the squeezing is bad though. and my right eye for no reason feels like something is poking it. have to wear my kuku spects out =(

luckily the pain went away today and im able to wear my lens again.

family relations hasnt been very pleasant ever since my ah gong fell ill.. lots of commotions, lots of drama.. it gets very sickening at a point of time.. many others who met with such problems stand together and even strengthen their family ties, what they call 患难见真情.. why did our family fail the test? im really disappointed..

as for friends.. well.. they come and go.. people loses contact, drifted apart till a mere stranger.. well, i guess these are all part of growing up.. we are all grown ups.. no one can force anyone to do anything shudnt they? big groups hangout got lesser and lesser with time.. that cant be helped since everyone is busy with their own activities.. its very difficult now since everyone leads a different lifestyle..

now for happy stuff!

2008 i got my first overseas trip with piggy and family! though its just a short trip, im really contented with it =) both of us had grown up alot this year havent we? your presence has been inevitable to me now..

and of course, in 2008 we get to step into the country which we had always anticipated.. TAIWAN!! that is the best! it was pure enjoyment~ though its not the first time me and the girls went overseas but its TAIWAN!!

i was wondering if i shud categorise this under hapy stuff.. i quit my purchaser job in June and moved on to becoming an editorial assisant in the hospital.. quitting my purchaser job is really a big step out of my comfort zone.. afterall i have been there for more than a year and if not for the job scope is really not what i wanted for long term, i wouldnt even think of quitting.

lesson learned here: do not be adventurous..

comfort zone is not called comfort zone for reason. and since u are comfortable in your comfort zone, why step out of it and get bruised by the outside world? not stepping out of the comfort zone is not something to be ridicule.

so i made this wrong step. well other than the OW, editorial stuff really doesnt suit me.. everyone knows im not an organised person and i cant plan stuff! im not meticulous otherwise i wun be call a sotong. but editorials requires attention on a spacing, coma or full stop. i cant! my groupmates know this the best.. everytime they gimme the report to read, i will never find any errors while celin will find tonnes of them..

what to do, what to do~

so my resolution for 2009!

1. Learn not to be paranoid and worry for things that have yet to happen
2. Get a Diploma in Early Childhood and become a full-time teacher (and hoping the sky will rain money to cover the low wages)
3. Fulfill all my 2008 resolutions!!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

its a rainy xmas eve and xmas day this year.. ppl having white xmas while we have wet xmas wahaha~

i finally got my wish! all i wan for xmas this year is to go see the gigantic xmas tree @ vivo! i rmb we missed that last year.. so this year muz go see!

though it was drizzling but there is still lots of ppl there ytd.. my camera skill getting worse.. think i needa brush up on it!!! but u wun get to see the pictures for this post bcuz that LAZY piggy haven upload the pictures yet.. LAZY!!!! blea! and i already swear to myself that i will never ever keep anyone camera or look after it or anything again.. i know the incident is already 1 yr ago but i can nv forgive myself for that.. so ppl, please get ur cameras to stay 10m away from me!!

we had dinner at Shin Kushiya =) Japanese cuisine for Christmas! lolx abit no link.. but the food there is yummy and the service is good! abit expensive though.. talking about good service, Irints got very good service as well! they help me wrapped up my present even though i only got wrapping paper there and not the present=)i love my christmas present from piggy! but not initially when it comes with the London Choco Roll =.= naughty piggy!! ahhhh spare me from the stupid commercial!!!!!!!!

supper was chocolate fondue back home! ever since i bought my bro the fondue set last week, we had been having sinful fondue as dessert every week. hoho!

one more thing to mention, i finally got to eat my kway chap on Monday after craving for it for the whole of last week!!!! plain happiness.. and this whole week, im so busy at work lahz.. busy with increasing Haha level is Pet Society in FB. wahahahaha~

it could have been such a happy week, if not for old woman 'farming' rude remarks that spoilt everything. puii!! *chase her out of the happy picture with a ultra huge broom after whacking her ass with it*

2009 is coming in a week's time.. a year filled with uncertainty.. am i ready to face the challenge?

ytd we had our PGMI Xmas Party!!

its really a whole night of food, drinks, fun and laughter!! Hanning is damn good at Taboo lahz.. her questions all damn funny!! and i realise me and elaine really got super good telepathy.. lolx~ no wonder we are the elaine tan and elaine tham clan.. wahaha~

and i was the paparazi for the night.. chasing after Joey and Perera the whole night with the camera on video mode.. so tired after that~~~~

thank u guys for all the prezzies!!!! this is the first Christmas that i received soooo many gifts~~ i love the whole pooh bear series they got for me!!

Thursday night went to collect the ring with Piggy! the ring Xian they all got for us, mine is too loose, piggy's too small.. lolx! lousy!! wahahaha~ so we went to change the size and engrave the name.. piggy for no reason earn a ring.. 赚到!!! =p and nearly my whole office was at PS that night oso.. lolx~ so coincident..

i am back people!

just came back from 4D3N stay at Gentings with piggy, his family and philip =)

but its a rather wrong timing to go Gentings now bcuz of the weather. super foggy and heavy rain everyday. plus the public holiday. we waited 4 hours to check in to the hotel room.

and we got a extremely cramp-py and noisy room this time at First World.

but i think thats about all the bad stuff.. the rest of the time is happy happy happy! this is the first overseas trip with piggy.. and first time spending the 8th out of town!

philip, piggy and me usually will stray from the group and walk ourselves.. the 1st night we went into the casino! finally can go in there.. but they still stop us to check us everytime we go in. check lo~ lolx.. its so complicated inside. not to mention the damn smoky environment. but its an eye opener. i din play on the first night.. jus sat there and watch them play jackpot.. i am very niao when it comes to gambling. and we went to watch Quarantine. i think i slept 3/4 of the show away because its really too gory for my liking.. after the show philip went back to sleep first bcuz he wasnt feeling well.. so piggy and i went shopping and he got me a small cute piggy softoy! hehe..

2nd day the whole group set off to KL for shopping! but its was still raining heavily.. we only manage to go to Mid-Valley and The Gardens to shop and had to head back to Gentings before dark if not too dangerous. and bcuz of the bad weather, we took cab down to KL instead of the initially planned cable car. PHEW~~~~~ lucky me. blea! and the uncle who drives us down super steady bom pee pee!! Zara in KL is more exp than in SG! tsk tsk.. so i only bot one tee.. piggy got his white nike shoe. and philip was spending money like water liddat. we all concluded that muz be either his high fever spoil his brain or the panadol he took from me got problem or he is trying to cure himself by 'retail therapy'. lolx! its also piggy and me 21months anniversary! but at night i made piggy angry lahz.. and he din wanna talk to me for the whole night =( haixx....

3rd day we spend the whole day in Gentings. finally the sky cleared a little and the rain stopped. the 3 of us went to casino after casino.. lolx! we comb every casino in Gentings lahz.. ended up me got sore throat bcuz of all the smoke.. argh! lolx.. and i got beginner's luck!! hehe.. so win abit of money.. and i spend it all on a pair of shoe! lolx. piggy's godpa treat us dinner at the mushroom farm at night. the restaurant is somwhere in the middle of the mountain. never knew there is a restaurant in the middle of nowhere lolx. the food there is fantastic and cheap! after the dinner we went to watch the magic show bcuz we got free tickets. saw white tiger and white lion! the 2 of them went to casino after that again. so i went to piggy mum's room to wait for them bcuz i cannot stand the smoke anymore but i dun wan to be alone in the room.

4th day everyone had a hard time waking up. surprisingly im the first one to wake up! lolx~ after breakfast and lunch, we went to casino AGAIN~ hahaha. life has been revolving around casino. stayed there till its time to board the bus. unfortunately it was raining heavily again. BIG SIAN~ plus there was a heavy traffic jam in the expressway. it was already late late late when we reach SG. the suay-est thing is, the bus is full of kids this time. they are so damn noisy lahz!!!!!!! argh! kids noisy nvm. the adults are also freaking noisy. niam niam niam niam niam non stop. make us damn pissed bcuz we din sleep much last night. they seriously never stopped talking from Gentings all the way back to SG. *tape their mouth*

so i was suppose to go back to work today. but i totally cannot wake up in the morning.. hehe.. so took another day of leave. wahahaha, old woman is gonna hate me~

the friday before i left for holidays, celebrated my birthday with xian, pinggie and pei at a Japanese restaurant in Suntec. i have alot of unglam pictures with pei lahz! =( lolx.. she keep threatening to post them out.. lolx.. blackmail!!! and guess what they got for me! hmm, to be more specific is for piggy and me! hahha.. Thank you!!! =)

the photos, well, am still waiting for pei and xian to send me.. doubt i can get them so soon? lalala~ the sad thing is i left the mini logcake that they bot for me at Cottons On lahz =( sianx..

its gonna be the Season of Giving again soon =)

like all the shopping malls, my office has also started on our Christmas Decoration!

and bcuz the old Xmas tree looks so sickly and bald, we used this tiny weeny little Xmas tree to stand in first while Joey gets a new tree.

(even if u click, the view of the tree will still be small.. LOL!)

cute isnt it? we were afraid that the housekeeping auntie will accidentally vaccum the tree in lahz cuz its too small..

so the next day Joey and the bunch went to chop off a tree by the road and we got a new Xmas tree!!

they also bot back 2 reindeers and 4 disco balls.

Last thurs was my Lao Ban birthday! we had a mini celebration in the Pedagogy Office.. due to budget constraint, we shun bian celebrate all November babies together. hahahaha~ so i get to cut the Choc.a.Bloc cake together with Lao Ban and another colleague. Unfortunately, when Ms Suay Bug aka Perera upload the pictures, everything is gone! really suay bug..

Accompany piggy to SMU ytd for his marticulation thingy.. but i left halfway to go shopping alone.. destruction to my wallet this time is a pair of shoes. haixx.. why dun i have any self-control... so bored for the 2 hours, can only do window shopping.

after SMU release them, went to Sim Lim with piggy and teck. lolx.. Terence came over too and all 3 of them nearly bot a LCD monitor each.. in the end, only Mr Tor carry home a 19" LCD screen. guys are just guys..

after the 2 Mr T left, Mary join us as we will be meeting Nan for dinner! yup, she and her bunch of Thai friends came over to Singapore for a short one day trip. the 3 of us rotted for 3 hours waiting for Nan and company to arrive in Bugis.. i was so bored till i fell asleep in Mac LOL. so sad to hear that Nan din enjoyed her day very much due to someone. poor Nan =(

Happy 20months anniversary piggy =)

u know, im really a xingfu little girl. when one of my colleague knows that my gums are swollen again with bad sore throat, she cook for me liang teh the next day =) so sweet of her.. thank you so much Joey!

and for the scary monday meeting, everyone knows that i was panicking. and im so touched when ee sia offer me her help, despite she havent been sleeping the whole week and is so busy with her ENT course. Joey oso reminded me about bringing in laptop to the meeting which was so helpful bcuz boss suddenly wants to project somethings on the screen.

Thank you for your help =) i may not be very close with my colleagues but im really grateful for all the help u guys have given =)

and i have gotten a new name! boss absent-mindedly call me Elaine (my other colleague's name) bcuz he dun recognise me.. lolx.. and MF call me Kate that day for no reason. so my new name now is Kate Elaine Tham Jia Hui. wahaha!

ytd after helping the events team with the Allergy Public Forum, i rush down to meet piggy to go for the Club21 sales at the flyer! my god the branded stuff there are really cheap. we queued for an hour to go up to the shopping area and another hour to pay for the stuff we buy. lolx.. talking about recession~

so after spending so much on shopping, piggy and i decide to go home and cook instant noodles for dinner.. wahaha! but main reason is to watch the Man Utd match oso.. in the end they lost to Arsenal. argh! ixit my problem? i have only watch 2 Man Utd matches for this season. one is against Liverpool and the other one is ytd's. and Man Utd lost both the matches. Am i so suay!!

today went to celebrate yvonne's belated birthday at Pasta de Waraku. had a fun time with the marketing gang =) haven seen teck chiat for like one thousand years. hope the birthday girl enjoyed herself!

whenever im out shopping with the girls, im always the one spending with no self-control.. keep splurging and spending on whatever things i laid my eye on without thinking much.

whenever im out shopping with piggy, i will exercise abit of self-control.. i will think before i spend and will refrain myself from shopping crazily.. bcuz piggy oso will like to spend money.. not good for both to spend recklessly..

whenever im out shopping with my colleagues, usually during lunch hours, i will exercise 100% self-control.. i love shopping with them.. not only i NOT buy anything, i try to stop them from buying.. they seriously dun think at all when they buy..

different clique, different me.

ytd stayed late in the office to help out with the ENT course starting tmr. we machiam running production line, slotting in documents to files and pass down to the next person to slot the next thing.. lolx.. very fun but tiring.. three of us left at 12am.. the rest still stayed till 2am.. poor everyone =(

this week so peaceful bcuz OW not here~

and while everyone is doing their bit to help out with the ENT week, OW is away.. fine.. now she wan dump one important meeting for me to handle alone on Monday.. i needa work full day on Sunday for the ENT leh.. all my colleagues find this decision ridiculous.. she is seriously wanting to play with fire.. im fine you know.. if i screw up the meeting, the person who kana is you not me~ in any case u tio heart attack, A&E is just beside. u can still enjoy staff discount =)

my Gucci no more le =( HAIXX~ but that doesnt mean i cant get them in Singapore.. hehehe! yes, i am going to buy that as a birthday present for myself.. lalaa~

oh one more thing, i have decided to take part-time Advance Diploma in Early Childhood =) hopefully able to start school soon.. i have finally manage to plan out something i really want for my future. hope it wun be something i will end up regretting..

piggy needa go back camp tmr =( can only see him at night.. haixx..
